From July 30 to August 1, IPADE held its 2025 Faculty Assembly — an academic and community event centered on one of the institution’s foundational values: the spirit of service, understood as helping with integrity of intention and humility, under the premise of “to do and to disappear.”
Day One
The welcome address by Lorenzo Fernández Alonso, IPADE’s dean, opened the space to renew the School’s academic mission. Then, the panel discussion “Decoding the Economic, Political, and Technological Context” brought together professors Rodrigo de León, Ricardo Herrera, and Rafael Ramírez de Alba, along with guest professor Brenda Stefan, for an analysis of the major global challenges.
Fernanda Llergo, Rector General of UP-IPADE, delivered a message on the relevance of the spirit of service in professional, family, and business life. The day closed with the session “Service as a Path to Happiness” by Professor Antonio Casanueva Fernández, featuring the case Serviazgo.
Day Two
Professor Rodrigo Garza Burgos led the workshop “Delivering Service”, taking Disney as a benchmark of customer experience and emphasizing how this value is also reflected within IPADE. Later, Professor Ana Cristina Dahik Loor gave the session “Impact: From Service to Legacy.”
In the afternoon, Directors and Professors, together with their spouses, took part in various activities that concluded with a cultural event at the Kaluz Museum.
Day Three
The day began with Mass celebrated by Rev. Ricardo Furber Cano, Regional Vicar of Opus Dei in Mexico. Later, guest professor Javier Vidal-Quadras Trías de Bes delivered the lecture “The Family: The Human Habitat,” and the Assembly concluded with the interview “The Value of Service,” moderated by Professor Martha Pesquera and featuring Andreas Widmer, who shared how he discovered the deeper meaning of service during his time in Pope John Paul II’s security detail.
A Purposeful Closing
The IPADE Faculty Assembly 2025 reaffirmed that the spirit of service is not only a founding ideal, but also a practical guide that strengthens the individual, inspires the teaching mission, and endures as a legacy for business and society.
